Converting between decimals and percentages is straightforward: multiply a decimal by 100 to get the percentage, and divide a percentage by 100 to get the decimal. For example, 0.75 × 100 = 75%, and 45% ÷ 100 = 0.45.
This conversion is essential because calculators and spreadsheets use decimal form for percentage calculations. When a formula needs "30%", you enter 0.30. When displaying results to users, you convert back to percentage form by multiplying by 100.
This calculator works bidirectionally: enter a decimal to get the percentage, or enter a percentage to get the decimal equivalent.
